A Kassam Return for Cadden?

|

Oxford United are looking to bring Chris Cadden back to Grenoble Road but are facing competition from Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, according to the Daily Record.

The 24-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at Oxford from Columbus Crew after the MLS side snapped him up after his release from Motherwell.

He made 25 appearances in all competitions and provided five assists for the U’s. Since his return to Crew, he struggled for game time so a move away could suit the player.

As per the report, it is unclear whether the move would be a loan or one of permanent basis. The U’s struggled for parts in the right-back position following his departure and, although Sam Long has come of age this season, that position has still been a cause for concern for Karl Robinson.

Earlier this week, the U’s boss revealed his transfer plans for January and kept one position unknown.

Meanwhile, in Scotland, Hibs boss Jack Ross has previously admitted that he expects to be active next month as he aims to establish the Easter Road club as the country’s third force.
