Agyei on Target in Behind Closed Doors Friendly

Dan Agyei was on target as Oxford United came from behind to beat Southend United in a behind closed doors friendly at the U’s training ground.

As reported by via the clubs official website, the striker levelled midway through the first half with an effort from close range.

The 22-year-old, who has struggled for game time this season with just ten appearances, also hit the woodwork twice.

The striker has only found the net once – which also came against the Shrimpers as the U’s secured a 4-0 away win at Roots Hall – but his recent performances have impressed many supporters.

U’s boss Karl Robinson was looking to find a loan move away for the former Burnley man but he could yet play a part during the remainder of the season.

Jack Stevens scored the winning goal, while the match also included a return for Jamie Hanson. There was also 90 minutes for new signings Liam Kelly and Rob Atkinson respectively.
