Canice pens longer deal

Canice Carroll, 18 has signed an extension to his original contract in 2015 which now runs for a further 3 seasons.

Canice who has risen through the youth set up with the U’s even captaining the side is a local lad from Kidlington. However through parentage he qualifies for the Republic of Ireland.

Tall and strong, he can play right-back, centre-back or in midfield. He first broke into the first team at Oxford in 2015 and has gone onto to make 8 first team appearances.

He has played for Ireland since U17 level and was capped at U18 and U19 level and has 6 caps to his name.
