Oxford United midfielder Shandon Baptiste is a transfer target for Celtic, according to reports by talkSPORT.
It has been reported that the SPL champions have tabled a £3 million bid for the 21-year-old.
Baptiste, who has had an injury-hit time since making his U’s breakthrough, has been an integral part of the side this season which are pushing for promotion to the Championship.
Baptiste has scored four times and provided four assists from 25 appearances for the U’s, who reached the Carabao Cup quarter-final and face an FA Cup fourth-round replay against Newcastle next Tuesday.
But Neil Lennon’s side isn’t the only side monitoring the youngster. talkSPORT also believes that Rangers, Leeds and Brentford have been monitoring the midfielder.
The latter club, as reported by Football Insider, have tabled a £3 million for both Baptiste and winger Tariqe Fosu. If true, the valuation for the duo would be far too low for two of Oxford’s key players.
