We don’t have to go back too far for this classic clash. It was only four months ago that Oxford United recorded their joint-highest away win in the Football League with a 6-0 thrashing of Crewe. What made this victory even more unique was that there were six different goal scorers.

Firstly, Josh Ruffels headed home from close range after some good work down the right before James Henry latched on to a low cross from the left to double the advantage. Elliott Moore stayed composed from a Henry free-kick as the U’s headed into the break with a three-goal advantage.

After the break, the U’s continued to add to the tally. Brandon Barker scored arguably the best of the lot inside the opening minute, running from inside his own half before firing into the bottom corner. Mark Sykes was then fouled in the box and although Cameron Brannagan saw his spot-kick saved, the midfielder netted the rebound.

Sam Winnall headed a sixth goal with just five minutes remaining as the U’s equalled their highest ever away win in the Football League, which was set just the season before at Lincoln.
