Corcoran gets international call

MICKEY Corcoran has been selected to represent Northern Ireland Under 21 for their game against Romania.

The on-loan Cardiff defender has impressed during his United tenure and he will now represent his country on March 24. The international fixture does not clash with an Oxford game so the U’s will not suffer as a result.

Manager Jim Smith feels that Corcoran is deserving of his call-up. The Bald Eagle told the Oxford Mail:

‘Michael has done ever so well since he arrived. He has been very consistent and deserves his chance with Northern Ireland.’
