Oxford United have been drawn against the winner of tonight’s fourth-round qualifier replay between Hayes and Yeading United and Poole Town in the first round of the FA Cup.

Karl Robinson’s side, who reached the third round last season before being knocked out 1-0 at Brentford, will wait to discover their opponents.

The U’s were eliminated in the first round at the hands of Port Vale the season before, but reached the fifth round in 2016/17 under Michael Appleton, eventually losing out to Middlesborough.

Under Appleton, Oxford have had memorable cup runs with wins over Swansea City and Newcastle United, but they haven’t been as thrilling under Robinson’s tenure.

Oxford have met Hayes and Yeading before. The U’s beat them 2-0 in the FA Cup in 2008 before securing a win in the FA Trophy the following season.

And although the U’s lost both Conference games against Hayes and Yeading in 2010, they secured promotion back to League Two after a 3-1 playoff final win over York City.

The 1963/64 Quarter finalists should progress to the second round of seasons FA Cup despite the away tie.

The games will be played across the weekend of Saturday, November 9, with winning clubs receiving £36,000.
