Oxford United fans have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on the news that the U’s have been linked with Sheffield United striker, Ched Evans.
U’s boss, Karl Robinson, told the Oxford Mail earlier today that he was interested in bringing the 30-year-old Sheffield United forward in on loan.
So are the U’s fans happy with the news? It’s a split decision, and there are mixed reactions for and against the controversial striker.

I really don't know whether I could support my team if Ched Evans joins. Certainly couldn't cheer any of his goals. Some things are bigger than football, and although we need a proven striker this is not the way to go. #oufc

Even I conducted a poll two days earlier to gauge U’s fans reactions. After one day of voting, 75% of fans were in favour of Evans joining the club.
Should #oufc sign Ched Evans? Please give reasons after voting.

He has divided opinion, but at this moment in time, the U’s front line consists of 33-year-old Jamie Mackie and Gavin Whyte, who has been playing as a makeshift centre forward in pre-season.
The U’s need goals in their squad, and Evans found the net 16 times for Fleetwood Town last term.
