Following Oxford United’s goalless draw with Bolton Wanderers last night, U’s fans have taken to Twitter to give their views on the game.
Just under 400 fans travelled north almost expecting to see their side pick up a second successive victory against a side that have lost all but one game this season, which was also a goalless draw.
But Wanderers, who were playing their first home game since their recent takeover, certainly upset the odds and were unlucky not to come away with all three points.
I mean if ever there was an Oxfordesque result.. This is it.. I bet we'd draw with Bury atm too

Embarrassing

Last four league games, Bolton lose by 5 at least. Then we show up. Absolute gash.

Cant be dropping points there, embarrassing performance

What absolute rubbish. Second best all night. 10 games in and we are struggling again.

The result puts some perspective on the U’s season so far. Despite a promising start which saw four points from two games, Oxford then lost four from five games before a victory over Tranmere last time out.
Many would have felt this would have been consecutive wins but this new look Bolton side held firm and could have easily taken more.
Oxford travel to Lincoln this weekend before welcoming West Ham United to the Kassam for the third round of the Carabao Cup.
