Oxford United have made their fourth signing of the summer after Ben Woodburn arrived on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
The 19-year-old, who can play on either wing as well as an attacking midfielder, is an extremely promising youngster, and holds the record for the youngest Liverpool goalscorer, taking the accolade from Michael Owen.
He’s also an international, having been capped ten times by Wales, scoring twice including a debut goal against Austria.
Despite the news that Gavin Whyte left the club to join Cardiff City, it seemed most fans are extremely excited about the U’s new number 10.
At League One level, this is a coup. Well done! And good luck to Woodburn.

It wasn’t just U’s fans that were delighted with the move. Liverpool fans were also pleased to see their young starlet make the loan move in the hope of rediscovering his form.
The U’s will be hoping to bring a couple more new faces before the season kicks off at Sunderland, but they’ll certainly be delighted with their latest addition.
