It’s nice to beat Swindon.

Do we care about what the match was being played for? Not in the slightest the most important thing was the bragging rights of who beat who. These matches have little importance of what competition is being played as the Oxford and Swindon rivalry always generates a love hate atmosphere which is great for clashes.

Any neutral would be overwhelmed at the intensity in the air as both sets of supporters do their own team proud in the support they give their respective teams in the build-up and during the match itself.

My side came out winners again with a well taken goal by Wembley hero and now derby hero Alfie Potter who blasted into the net from a pass by James Constable.

The U`s fans cheered on with a knowing thought that the bragging right were to remain with the team in Yellow until the next encounter. In fact this is now 4 matches on the trot the yellows have won starting with the famous FA Cup match with a certain Jefferson Louis bearing all in the changing rooms live on BBC.

The final whistle arrived and the stunned Swindon fans erupted into anger as parts of the visiting support vented their anger towards the players and Paulo Di Canio as they clapped their fans. It was comical to watch as the dispirited staff hung their heads in shame to walk the long road back to the tunnel.

Just a message to PDC your fans are not interested in how many chances you have created over the three matches against Oxford it`s the ones that go into the back of the net that count!!!

Happy days remain as the Yellows shoot down the Robins again.
