Oxford United will be hoping to end a run of five games without a win when they travel to Exeter.

The U’s last won at home against Burton at the start of September but have lost four of those five matches since, including last time out against Wycombe.

As for Exeter, they were unbeaten in four in all competitions before defeat at Charlton on Tuesday night. Their previous loss came at home against the Brewers.

Only five teams have scored more than the eighth-placed Grecians but they have conceded more goals as the U’s.

Oxford welcomed back Josh Murphy to the bench last time out and Sam Baldock is also close to a return, although Lewis Bate remains sidelined.

Exeter are without Cheick Diabate and Sam Stubbs while Jonathan Grounds and Tim Dieng are both doubts.

Oxford are unbeaten in 90 minutes from the last nine meetings between the two sides, although the Grecians won the most recent fixture in the Football League trophy after the game ended goalless. The U’s had won the previous three matches, including a 4-1 success on the road.

Predicted line-up: Simon Eastwood, Ciaron Brown, Stuart Findlay, Elliott Moore, Sam Long, Alex Rodriguez Gorrin, Marcus McGuane, Cameron Brannagan, Marcus Browne, James Henry, Matty Taylor.

Prediction: Exeter City 1-1 Oxford United
