Oxford United will be looking to avoid a fifth straight defeat when the U’s travel to MK Dons.

Karl Robinson’s side lost 1-0 at home against Shrewsbury last time out, which followed defeats against Barnsley, Burton and Wycombe.

As for the Dons, they won 2-0 at Bristol Rovers – a result which followed back-to-back home defeats and three home matches without a goal.

Josh Murphy made a return against the Shrews but Billy Bodin was the latest enforced change. Cameron Brannagan also remains a doubt.

Captain Dean Lewington, former Oxford winger Nathan Holland and midfielder Ethan Robson are among those injured for the hosts.

The Dons find themselves seven points behind Oxford and just one above the drop. Like the U’s, they have found goals hard to come by, with just 27 from 29 league games.

MK won the reverse fixture at Grenoble Road but the U’s picked up three wins and a draw from their previous four meetings, including four points on the road. In five visits, Oxford have one win, one defeat and three draws.

Predicted line-up: Simon Eastwood, Brandon Fleming, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Sam Long, Djavan Anderson, Marcus McGuane, Lewis Bate, Yanic Wildschut, Aseef Konate, Kyle Joseph.

Prediction: MK Dons 1-2 Oxford United
