Oxford United return to action on Saturday with a tricky trip to promotion hopefuls, Peterborough.

The U’s saw their game against Cheltenham postponed due to international call ups, meaning they now sit just one place and two points above the relegation zone.

As for the Posh, they have won their last three games, including a 2-0 victory at home against Derby last time out and a 3-0 win at Lincoln, ending their unbeaten home record in the process. Darren Ferguson’s side sit one place outside the playoffs, just one point off the Rams.

James Henry, Billy Bodin, Sam Baldock and Alex Gorrin remain injured while Lewis Bate has also been ruled out for the season. Deadline day additions Ateef Konate and Tyler Smith may be in contention for a return.

Only two teams have scored more than the Posh this season. However, they have also conceded the most from any of the top ten sides. They have also picked up just three draws this season, with two of those coming at home.

Oxford are without a win in the last five meetings between the two sides, losing four. The last two away meetings have both ended in defeat. Posh won the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Predicted line-up: Simon Eastwood, Ciaron Brown, Stuart Findlay, Elliott Moore, Brandon Fleming, Djavan Anderson, Oisin Smyth, Cameron Brannagan, Marcus McGuane, Marcus Browne, Kyle Joseph.

Prediction: Peterborough United 1-0 Oxford United
