Lewis Montrose arrives on loan

Chris Wilder has added a midfield battler to the squad until the end of the season by bringing in Lewis Montrose on loan from Gillingham.

Lewis cannot play in the cups that Oxford United are still in as he has already played for Gillingham in both competitions.

Oxford fans might recall the goal he scored against us last season.

The former Wigan trainee was loaned out to Rochdale, Chesterfield and Cheltenham before signing permanently for Wycombe and then Gillingham.

Lewis, 24 is a 6ft central midfield player with over 130 first team appearances who has scored 11 goals.
