Mitchell Cole passes away aged 27

Mitchell Cole who was 27 died on Friday had suffered with a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, an irregular thickness of the heart.

Married to England and Liverpool player Joe Cole’s sister Carly, they have two children.

Mitchell who graduated at Norwich & West Ham’s youth academy went on to play for Grays Athletic, Southend United, Northampton Town, Stevenage Borough, Oxford United, Stotfold, Hitchin Town, Biggleswade Town & Arseley Town.

He played 14 times for England C scoring an incredible 7 goals. In June 2010 he was signed by Oxford United but by Feb 2011 he was forced to retire from football after doctors advised him to give up.
