Oxford United manager Karl Robinson and goalkeeper Jack Stevens have both been nominated for the Player and Manager of the Month award for December.

The U’s went six unbeaten last month, recording three draws and three wins. As a result, Robinson’s side are third in the form table for the month.

The U’s picked up draws against Ipswich, Hull and Blackpool before recording wins over Northampton, AFC Wimbledon and Plymouth.

Oxford also headed into the month with Stevens replacing Simon Eastwood in goal following a string of poor performances, and the decision appears to have paid off.

The U’s had failed to keep a clean sheet before December, while Stevens has kept four from the six games played.

The Oxford goalkeeper is nominated alongside Peterborough striker Jonson Clarke-Harris, Owen Dale from Crewe and Lincoln City midfielder Brennan Johnson.

Robinson is up against Crewe head coach David Artell, new Shrewsbury boss Steve Cotterill and Neil Critchletly of Blackpool.
