Jon Obika, 26 a former England U20 and 19 international striker has signed for Oxford United on a 2 year deal with an option of a 3rd year.

Born in Enfield he progressed through the Tottenham youth academy signing a pro deal in 2008. He made 4 first team appearances for the North London club.

He remained at Tottenham for 6 years making going out on loan to Yeovil, Millwall, Crystal Palace, Peterborough, Swindon, Brighton and Charlton. In total he made 108 appearances scoring 23 goals.

In 2014 Swindon paid £200k fee for Jon where he played 102 matches scoring 28 goals before leaving to join the yellows. During his time at the County ground Jon played with current U’s striker Wes Thomas.

Jon adds competition to the U’s attack as is known for his speed and trickery.
