Jack Payne, 22 has signed a 1 year loan deal from Huddersfield Town.
Premiership new boys Huddersfield thought Jack was best placed to go out on loan rather than try and break through into their first team. Last season he played 27 matches for the Yorkshire club scoring 4 goals.
However U’s fans will remember him from his time with his previous club Southend United where he came up through the youth team to make 88 appearances scoring 17 goals before his big move.
An attacking midfielder who can play anywhere across the park.
