Oxford United travel to Cheltenham on Saturday as their search for an away win this season continues.

Karl Robinson’s side picked up a point on the opening day against Cambridge United but have lost at Bolton and AFC Wimbledon since.

The U’s are also without a win in two, having played out a goalless draw against Wycombe last time out.

As for Cheltenham, they won the League Two title last season and have made a steady return to the third tier with two wins, three draws and two defeats. Michael Duff’s side have also beaten Ipswich and Charlton in the league and are through to the third round of the Carabao Cup, where they will face Preston North End.

Defender Will Boyle, who was linked with a move to the U’s during the summer transfer window, has scored once from nine appearances this season while Alfie May and Callum Wright have both added three each.

James Henry remains Oxford’s top goalscorer with four but the U’s will be looking to add more goals. Sam Long and Billy Bodin have returned to the squad and Elliott Moore could also be available after missing the draw against Wycombe.

Cheltenham have a good record against the U’s and are unbeaten in their last seven meetings. Of that run, three of the games have ended in wins for the Robins. Oxford’s last win at Whaddon Road came in the Football League Trophy in 2012 with the last league win coming in December 2005.

Predicted line-up: Jack Stevens, Steve Seddon, Jordan Thorniley, Luke McNally, Sam Long, Alex Rodriguez Gorrin, Cameron Brannagan, James Henry, Gavin Whyte, Ryan Williams, Matty Taylor.

Prediction: Cheltenham Town 1-2 Oxford United
