Oxford United will be looking to record back to back victories this weekend but face a tough test at Ipswich Town.

The U’s are fresh off the back of a superb 5-0 win over AFC Wimbledon, a result which moved Karl Robinson’s side back within five points of the playoffs.

Despite a victory over Burton Albion last weekend, the Tractor Boys also find themselves outside the playoffs after three defeats in their last five league games.

The two sides met midway through January but the game ended in a goalless stalemate in horrific conditions. That was the first meeting between the two sides since 1999, but the U’s haven’t won in the last five encounters between them.

Alex Rodriguez Gorrin is a welcome return following his two-game suspension, but skipper John Mousinho has been ruled out for up to two months.

James Henry took his goal tally to 12 while Matty Taylor reached 13 against the Dons, with January signing Nathan Holland also adding a brace.

James Norwood and Kayden Jackson have both scored eleven goals for Ipswich this term, but it’s defensively where the Tractor Boys have impressed this season with the joint third-best backline in the division. Former U’s loanee Luke Garbutt is part of that defence, and the left-back has also scored six goals.

Predicted line-up: Simon Eastwood, Josh Ruffels, Elliott Moore, Rob Dickie, Anthony Forde, Alex Rodriguez Gorrin, Cameron Brannagan, Mark Sykes, James Henry, Nathan Holland, Matty Taylor.

Prediction: Ipswich Town 1-1 Oxford United
