Scholars offered pro deals

Its that time of year when Leon Blackmore-Such and Andy Whing have the tough decision to make regarding the 2nd year scholars.

Shandon Baptiste, 19 has been offered a 6 month contract. 2 years ago the U’s signed the midfielder after he was released by Reading. A combative player who’s 2 years have been blighted by injuries.

Malachi Napa, 17 has been rewarded with a 1 year contract. Originally from London he’s been with the U’s since 2015. An attacking player who can play on either wing or upfront. A regular in the youth team who was loaned out to North Leigh at the end of the season.

Manny Agboola, 18 born in London but is part of the Nigerian youth team. A highly rated young keeper who has also been offered a 1 year pro contract.

Unfortunately we have to say good bye to the following lads who have been terrific over the last couple of years for the youth team.

Charlie Tuttle, 18 a left back, Charlie Hawtin, 19 a right back and Joe Hartley, 18 a left winger.
