Liam Sercombe, 26 has been left out of Oxford United’s squad for ‘disciplinary reasons’.

Sercs was left out of last Saturday’s match at Walsall, and Oxford Head coach Michael Appleton says he will not be in his squad for the bank holiday fixtures.

With the player out of contract at the end of the season speculation has mounted about the midfielders future at the club has grown, with the U’s Head coach refusing to confirm if he has played his last game for United.

Liam arrived at United in May 2015 after playing all his football for hometown club Exeter City. He’s played 101 times for the yellows scoring 22 goals and was the goal scorer at Wembley.
