Oxford United will be looking to bounce back from Tuesday night’s defeat against Barnsley when they travel to Bristol Rovers.

The U’s have now suffered back-to-back home defeats against promotion rivals but have also picked up a win in each of their last two away games.

Bristol Rovers were also on the end of a 1-0 home loss on Tuesday night with defeat against Exeter, and they are without a win in six in all competitions. The Gas have also lost their last three home matches.

Sam Long and Joe Bennett both picked up injuries against the Tykes but there could be returns for Josh Murphy and former Gas man, Billy Bodin.

Jordan Rossiter and Grant Ward are absent for the hosts while James Wilson and George Friend are both doubts.

Oxford won the reverse fixture earlier this season but the Gas are unbeaten in the previous four, winning three.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Greg Leigh, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Fin Stevens, Josh McEachran, Marcus McGuane, Cameron Brannagan, Tyler Goodrham, Ruben Rodrigues, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Bristol Rovers 2-2 Oxford United.
