Oxford defended resolutely throughout the game and the defence once again stood tall and the Daggers were allowed few chances.

On the half hour mark Dagenham almost opened the scoring after Sam Saunders was allowed to get a firece shot in. from ten yards but Billy Turley made himself big and made a good save with his legs.

At half time Jim Smith decided to replace Eddie Hutchinson with Chris Hargreaves and also sacrificed Andy Burgess for the pacey Odubade. It was a brave move but one that turned out to win the U’s the game.

In the 57th minute Oxford scored the winner after Rob Duffy knocked down a Matt Day throw and squared the ball to Odubade inside the box for the little man to knock the ball home. It was a great move and showed the quality that United have in their team.
