James Henry, 28 a 6ft 1 right winger has joined the club on a free transfer.

He joins the squad in Portugal and will need no introduction to Mike Williamson whom he has been a team mate with at Wolverhampton. Both players were released from their contracts at the end of last season.

James from Woodley joined Reading as a trainee in 2006 he made 18 appearances for the Royals madding his debut in 2007 against Liverpool.

Whilst with Reading he was loaned out to Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Norwich and Millwall whom he joined permanently. Wolves took him on loan in 2013 before capturing the winger in 2014. Last season he was loaned out to Bolton Wanderers where he helped them to promotion.

In total he’s played 352 first team matches scoring 51 matches.
