Oxford United take on SC Wiener Neustadt this evening in Austria in a ko 1830 local time which is 1730hrs UK time.

It`s the blue and white`s last game before their season gets started this Friday in a cup match against First Vienna FC 1894. We wish them all the luck in that game.

SC Wiener Neustadt`s preseason matches started on the 24th May with the team having a record of W2 D1 L2 F 7 A 4.

This season sees the team compete in the Erste Liga, which is Austria`s 2nd tier of football.

In July G√ľnter Kreissl was a appointed Head coach of the first team. A former Austrian U21 goalkeeper who`s played for several clubs since 1992.

After relegation last season the team has seen several changes amongst the playing staff, with the squad looking in the direction of youth to progress the team forward. Up front for the Austrian side we may see 6ft 3 striker Daniel Maderner partner mobile Julian Salamon who has a good scoring record.

The yellows will be at full strength after their opening match of preseason. But Michael Appleton may opt to shuffle his squad around with the team playing a higher standard of opponents.
