Scorers:Constable 14′ Potter 88′ Oxford’s undefeated away record in the league came to an end in Wales against a team who are trying to get back in the promotion race.

After a good pass by Dave Kitson supplied Beano the chance to blast the U’s in front which he took. Rene Howe scored a deflected goal on the stroke of half time to put the team level. At the half way stage it was probably a fair result.

A sloppy tackle by Josh Ruffles outside the box on the 71st minute let Ryan Burge score a peach of a freekick.

12 minutes later and a mix up between Johnny Mullins and Ryan Clarke let Chris Zebroski pass into a open net.

With the score at 3-1 to Newport Mickey Lewis shuffled his line up to try and get his team back in it. Alfie Potter got a late goal but to be fair the U’s did not deserve anything from the game.
