Oxford United may struggle to keep hold of QPR loanee Mide Shodipo this month, given his impressive displays for the U’s.

The 23-year-old has really put his stamp on this Oxford side and took his goal tally to six for the season after scoring a brace against Burton Albion on Saturday.

The winger, who has been rotated at times with Jordan Obita in the left midfield role, has been a part of an Oxford side that have gone seven league games unbeaten.

But while the U’s are moving up the League One table, his parent club QPR are sliding down the Championship table, which could prompt a recall for the 23-year-old.

The R’s find themselves just two points clear of the bottom three and have gone nine games without a win. During that spell, they have scored just five goals.

Although on a season-loan loan, Rangers may look to recall the winger in January if needed. Naturally for Oxford, they will be looking to keep hold of him until the end of the season given his strong start to the campaign.
