U’s target does about turn

Oxford United’s bid to bring in young centre half Liam Lindsay looks to have hit a snag.

Reports in Scotland indicated the deal had been agreed verbally to bring the defender to Oxford United. This week a medical and the formalities were to be signed, but that all looks off the cards now.

With reports suggesting that U’s Head Coach Michael Appleton is departing the centre back has had second thoughts and now Barnsley lead the chase for the hot prospect.
