U’s Youngsters Sent Out on Loan

|

Oxford United have allowed two of their young attackers to go out on loan. Winger Malachi Napa and forward Slavi Spasov have both joined National League side Woking.

21-year-old Napa made one appearance for the U’s this season, coming on as a substitute against Chelsea Under 21s in the Football League Trophy. It was his first competitive appearance since August 2019 when he broke his leg in the Carabao Cup against Peterborough United.

As for Spasov, the 18-year-old made history in his first of two appearances in 2018 after becoming the clubs youngest goalscorer in the EFL Trophy game against Fulham Under 21s, aged 16 years and 226 days.

U’s boss Karl Robinson told the clubs official website: “It’s a good chance for both of them. Malachi missed a lot of last season through injury and needs games and with Slavi it’s another loan to a good club where we hope he scores goals and shows what we know he can do.”

The U’s have loaned out five youngsters, with Fabio Lopes and Leon Chambers-Parillon joining Biggleswade Town, while Fabio Sole has joined Farnborough Town.
