Xemi leaves the U’s

Josep Miquel Fernandez Codina, 22 known as Xemi was signed by Pep Clotet from Barcelona’s B team.

He arrived in July 2017 signing at the time a 3 year contract. But Spainish second tier football and EFL one proved a bridge to far for the Spaniard.

In his 13 appearances for the U’s he scored 2 goals for the club.

He appeared to struggle with the demands of league 1 so was released before the Jan 2018 transfer deadline.
