Oxford United will be looking to put an end to their five-game winless run when table-topping Plymouth visit Grenoble Road.

The U’s ended a four-game losing streak with a point at MK Dons last time out, but the results are still below par for a team that appear to be sleepwalking into a relegation battle.

It couldn’t be more different for the visitors who have been in and around the top spot all season. The Pilgrims dropped to second with a defeat against Sheffield Wednesday but returned to the summit with a win over John Mousinho’s Portsmouth. Plymouth have six wins and three draws from their last ten league games.

Cameron Brannagan made a surprise return from injury against the Dons while Sam Baldock got his first minutes of the season.

Striker Niall Ennis is a doubt for the visitors, who are without goalkeeper Mike Cooper, defender Dan Scarr and midfielder Conor Grant.

Ryan Hardie and Sam Cosgrove have 23 goals between them, while Ennis has also added ten. Midfielder Finn Azaz has six with defender Bali Mumba on five, while both players have also added seven assists.

The Pilgrims have won the last three meetings between the two sides, picking up a 3-1 victory on their last visit to Grenoble Road.

Predicted line-up: Simon Eastwood, Brandon Fleming, Ciaron Brown, Sam Long, Djavan Anderson, Lewis Bate, Cameron Brannagan, Yanic Wildschut, Tyler Goodrham, Kyle Joseph, Tyler Smith.

Prediction: Oxford United 1-2 Plymouth Argyle
