Oxford United take a slender advantage into their League One playoff semi final at Peterborough on Wednesday night.

An Elliott Moore header early in the second half earned the U’s a 1-0 lead going into the second leg at London Road.

Oxford have no new injury concerns for the return fixture but the biggest selection headache for Des Buckingham will be whether to stick with Joe Bennett and Fin Stevens as the fulls backs or bring in Greg Leigh and Sam Long.

Posh were boosted by the return of Kwame Poku as a half time substitution and the winger will be hoping to make an impact from the start.

The U’s have won successive games against Peterborough for the first time since 2019 when Karl Robinson oversaw back to back 1-0 wins in League One and the League Cup. The U’s did manage five consecutive wins between 2006 and 2018.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Joe Bennett, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Fin Stevens, Cameron Brannagan, Tyler Goodrham, Ruben Rodrigues, Josh Murphy, Owen Dale, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Peterborough United 1-1 Oxford United
