Oxford United will be looking for a fourth straight win when they travel to Portsmouth on Tuesday night.

The U’s have seen off Charlton, Crewe and Cambridge within seven days, moving Karl Robinson’s side to fourth in League One.

As for Pompey, they are unbeaten in four games with the most recent defeat coming in the return fixture at Grenoble Road when Oxford scored two late goals to win 3-2.

They have three wins from those four fixtures but were denied a fourth with a 3-3 draw against Fleetwood. However, Danny Cowley’s men came from three goals down in that game.

There was a brief return to action for Marcus Browne and James Henry against Cambridge but defender Elliott Moore and midfielder Billy Bodin remain sidelined.

For Pompey, Kieron Freeman and Shaun Williams are out while defender Michael Jacobs is a doubt for the match.

Marcus Harness took his tally to 11 goals for the season with his strike against Fleetwood. Ronan Curtis, who scored when the sides met earlier this season, has seven while Reeco Hackett-Fairchild has five goals.

As previously mentioned, Oxford won the reverse fixture at Grenoble Road thanks to late goals from Cameron Brannagan and Nathan Holland, but it was a first win in 90 minutes from the last eight meetings.

Predicted line-up: Jack Stevens, Steve Seddon, Sam Long, Luke McNally, Ryan Williams, Herbie Kane, Cameron Brannagan, Mark Sykes, Gavin Whyte, Sam Baldock, Matty Taylor.

Prediction: Portsmouth 1-1 Oxford United
