Oxford United have boosted their attacking options with the arrival of striker Kyle Joseph on a season-long loan from Swansea City.

The 20-year-old has featured for Russell Martin’s side throughout pre-season but is yet to make a dent in the senior side, with most of his appearances coming in the U21s.

The former Wigan forward also spent time on loan at Cheltenham Town, where he scored four times in 22 appearances before being recalled to the Swans team, in which he managed ten substitute appearances.

Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: “I’m delighted to be here and have already sensed a good feeling around the club.

“The team have made a great start to the season so I can’t wait to get going myself and help the team be successful this year.”

Karl Robinson added: “Kyle offers us a great option in our forward positions and with his high energy I’m confident he will fit in straight away.

“He’s a young, pacey player who will provide us with another attacking threat.”
