Oxford United will be looking to bounce back from their late defeat at Northampton when Cambridge visit Grenoble Road on Boxing Day.

The U’s lost 2-1 at Sixfields with the hosts scoring a 96th minute winner. It means that Des Buckingham has just one win from his six league games in charge.

Cambridge picked up a 2-0 win against Exeter last time out and they have three wins and a draw from their last four games in all competitions.

Billy Bodin remains an injury doubt for Oxford, who are still without several key players.

Cambridge are without Harrison Dunk while joint top scorer Fejiri Okenabirhie is a doubt, although Gassan Ahadme is also on nine goals after scoring against the Grecians.

Oxford lost at Cambridge in the opening game of the season and are without a win, and a goal, in the last two meetings between the two sides.  However, the U’s have won the last six meetings at Grenoble Road and are unbeaten in the last 13 home fixtures.

Predicted line-up: James Beadle, Ciaron Brown, Jordan Thorniley, Elliott Moore, Josh Murphy, Marcus McGuane, Josh McEachran, Cameron Brannagan, Fin Stevens, Ruben Rodrigues, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Oxford United 1-0 Cambridge United
