Oxford United will be looking to continue their winning run when the U’s welcome promotion rivals, Lincoln.

Des Buckingham’s side have picked up back-to-back 4-0 wins over Fleetwood and Burton before a 5-0 demolition over Peterborough.

Lincoln are still battling Oxford for the final playoff spot but a draw against Reading and defeat at home against Wigan have seen the Imps drop five points behind the U’s.

Joe Bennett has been rated as fifty-fifty for this game while Buckingham has confirmed striker Will Goodwin is unavailable for the final three league games. Despite a 5-0 win, Oxford fans will be hoping to see the return of Elliott Moore and Cameron Brannagan.

Teddy Bishop is a doubt for Lincoln, who are without Lewis Montsma, Tyler Walker, Connor McGrandles and Ethan Hamilton.

Mark Harris took his tally to 18 in all competitions against the Posh while Ruben Rodrigues’ brace took his tally to nine. Josh Murphy, who also scored, is now on eight.

Danny Mandroiu took his tally to seven against Wigan and Reeco Hackett has netted the same amount. January loan signing Joe Taylor has scored nine in 16 League One appearances.

Oxford won the reverse fixture at Sincil Bank in what would prove to be Liam Manning’s final league game in charge before leaving to join Bristol City. However, Lincoln had won the previous three meetings, including this fixture last season. The two sides haven’t drawn a match in 15 attempts since a goalless stalemate at Grenoble Road in 2004.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Greg Leigh, Ciaron Brown, Sam Long, Fin Stevens, Josh McEachran, Tyler Goodrham, Ruben Rodrigues, Josh Murphy, Owen Dale, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Oxford United 2-1 Lincoln City
