Oxford United will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games when Northampton visit Grenoble Road.

The U’s picked up a win over Wigan before a goalless draw on the road at Wycombe last week.

The Cobblers won 3-1 at home against Bristol Rovers last time out but that was a first win in five. Northampton have also lost their last two away games at Leyton Orient and Portsmouth respectively.

The U’s will assess the fitness of Elliott Moore and Marcus McGuane after the duo missed the trip to Adams Park. Will Goodwin may be rested again after he played 45 minutes in that fixture, but there could be a return for Oisin Smyth.

Akin Odimayo, Danny Hylton, Ali Koiki and Aaron McGowan are all doubtful for the visitors, who are also without top scorer, Sam Hoskins.

Northampton won the reverse fixture at Sixfields thanks to an injury-time goal. Cobblers have won the last two league fixtures but lost heavily on their most recent trip to Grenoble Road. However, that was a first win in ten league meetings for the U’s.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Greg Leigh, Ciaron Brown, Stephan Negru, Sam Long, Jay Matete, Cameron Brannagan, Tyler Goodrham, Ruben Rodrigues, Josh Murphy, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Oxford United 1-0 Northampton Town
