Charlton remain unbeaten at home as Oxford left the Valley with a point.

The U’s took the lead through Marcus Browne but the hosts levelled the game in the second half.

Here are three talking points from the game.

Line-Up and Formation

Having seen a foray of negativity regarding the formation and personnel selected last time out against MK Dons, Karl Robinson reverted to a back four.

Simon Eastwood began in goal with Ciaron Brown and Sam Long as the full-backs and Stuart Findlay partnering the returning Elliott Moore in the middle.

Cameron Brannagan and Marcus McGuane sat just in front of the defence with Lewis Bate playing higher up the pitch.

Browne and James Henry started as the wingers with Kyle Joseph leading the line.

On the bench, there was a welcome return for Matty Taylor, while Jodi Jones was also selected following his recent international exposure with Malta.

However, Ed McGinty and Djavan Anderson both missed out through injury.

Even Match

Over the course of the 90 minutes, a draw was arguably a fair result. Both teams had 11 shots with Charlton seeing four on target and Oxford three.

The possession was fairly even, too, and decent chances were few and far between for the two teams.

Late Chances

Despite a lack of chances, there was a late flurry of activity and either side could have won it.

First, Billy Bodin latched on to a neat through ball from Brannagan and cut inside the defender but fired the ball over from eight yards out.

Moments later, the Addicks launched a counter-attack and Eastwood was on hand to keep the scores level.

Then, even deeper into stoppage time, Jones came on and curled one towards the far corner but the goalkeeper denied him.
