Oxford United are closing in on securing a loan move for West Ham winger Nathan Holland, as reported by ExWHUemployee.

The 21-year-old has been in fine form in the Premier League 2, leading the assist charts with seven and scoring eleven goals from just twelve games.

The youngster has also provided two assists from two games for West Ham in Football League Trophy matches.

Holland started for the Hammers when Oxford knocked the Premier League side out of the Carabao Cup but was substituted before the U’s ran out 4-0 winners.

Holland, who started his career with Everton Academy, also has 26 youth caps for England, ranging from Under-16’s to Under-19’s.

It could be a promising move for both parties. Oxford, who are 4th in League One and are pushing for promotion, are looking to add more depth to the squad, particularly after suffering numerous injuries during the campaign.

While for the Hammers, it will be a good opportunity to allow this promising youngster to leave the club for regular first-team competitive football.

If the deal goes through, it won’t be the first West Ham man Karl Robinson has signed. The U’s also had the highly sought after Marcus Browne on loan last season, but he left the Hammers in the summer to sign for Middlesbrough.
