U’s Keeping Tabs on National League Striker

Oxford United have been linked with a mob for Boreham Wood forward, Kabongo Tshimanga, according to Football League World.

The 23-year-old joined The Wood in July 2019 from Oxford City and has continued his prolific streak in front of goal.

Tshimanga netted 37 goals in 54 appearances in his one season at Court Place Farm in the National League South before adding 19 from 41 for Boreham Wood in the National League. This season, he has added a further 15 from 33 appearances and is the second highest goalscorer in the league.

The forward was born in Milton Keynes came through the youth setup at MK Dons while U’s boss Karl Robinson was in charge.

Oxford are only keeping tabs on Tshimanga at the moment, as are Championship strugglers Rotherham United and League One rivals Plymouth Argyle.

With that in mind, the club may wait to see which division they are in before looking to recruit the young forward.
