Oxford United travel to Lincoln on Saturday without Karl Robinson in the dugout following his sacking by the club.

Ahead of the game, we spoke to Imps fan, Nigel Wass, who has kindly answered our questions.

How long have you supported Lincoln City?

I have been going since the early 1980s and home and away regularly since the late 90s.

Where do you think you’ll finish this season?

14th or 15th!

Who do you think will finish in the top six?

Think it will be about as now (Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth, Ipswich, Bolton, Derby, Barnsley.) Don’t think Wycombe or Peterborough will be consistent enough.

Who do you think will finish in the bottom four?

Any from 19th and below (Cheltenham, Morecambe, Accrington, MK Dons, Cambridge, Forest Green.) Think will go down to the last day of the season.

Key player(s) for Lincoln City?

Carl Rushworth, Lewis, Montsma, Paudie O’Connor, Joe, Walsh, Sean Roughan and Ben House are key members of the squad.

Any absentees through injury or suspension?

Walsh and Montsma have been big absentees for us although Montsma has just returned.

Thoughts on Mark Kennedy?

An up and coming head coach who is still finding his feet. Building a good relationship between fans and players again should see us to a steady mid-table finish. Too many draws, though, but good to be unbeaten at home.

A word on your team’s playing style?

Depends if we play the top half or bottom half. We like to play with pace which favours the better teams. Often a 4-3-3 formation.

Any Oxford players you would like to see in your team?

Sam Long was always a good player for Oxford but I don’t know much about the rest of the current squad.

Thoughts on Oxford?

Oxford, up to this season, are a team the Imps could do well to emulate as they are a consistent top-half League One team. Hope they can turn things around after our game.

Discuss your current form…

Unbeaten in seven and not conceding many. Struggling to finish teams off which has led to some frustrating draws!

What do you think the score will be?

Lincoln 2-1 Oxford.

Random fact about your club?

The Air-raid Siren played at corners is a tribute to the Dam Busters 617 Squadron.
