Oxford began the month with a 1-1 draw at home against Reading. Mark Harris gave the U’s a deserved home lead but the Royals levelled when Ciaron Brown turned the ball into his own net.

Young striker Gatlin O’Donkor then joined National League club Barnet on loan. The 19-year-old has struggled for game time and a loan move will do him good.

The U’s then picked up a third successive stalemate with an entertaining 1-1 draw at Blackpool. Oxford fell behind but Harris equalised against the team with the best home record in the division.

Oxford ended their five game winless run with a 4-2 win over Wigan. Goals from Josh Murphy, Cameron Brannagan, Ruben Rodrigues and Tyler Goodrham moved the U’s hack into the top six.

A draw on the road at Wycombe followed with the U’s extending their unbeaten run to five games. It was goalless at Adams Park and a first clean sheet for Oxford since a 3-0 win over Burton in December.

Another draw followed with Northampton scoring another late goal as they drew 2-2. Oxford twice took the lead at Grenoble Road but the Cobblers fought back despite the U’s dominance.

The unbeaten run came to an end with defeat against Leyton Orient. The U’s took the lead through Tyler Goodrham but the visitors scored early in the second half and added a second with just over ten minutes remaining.
