Oxford United brought in four new faces during the transfer window, including three on deadline day. When asked how he felt about the dealings during the window, he replied: “Very happy.”

He eluded to “forward planning” in terms of transfer targets, adding: “Luke McNally will be a great player.” Tiger went on to say that the 21-year-old centre back can learn off defensive duo Elliott Moore and Rob Atkinson.

When asked if there was any hesitation before making any new additions, Tiger’s response was simple – “back Karl and we have,” he said. The U’s have brought in four fresh faces with just two outgoings. Oxford also kept hold of key midfielder Cameron Brannagan despite a bid from Millwall.

All three of the U’s January deadline day signings arrived on loan until the end of the season. When asked if any would become permanent, Tiger said it is “difficult to say.”

However, with both Elliot Lee and Joe Grayson out of contract with their parent clubs in the summer, Oxford will “see how they do” and decide whether or not to open talks at the end of the current campaign.
