Oxford United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by James Henry in the three nil victory over Wimbledon at the weekend at the Kassam Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Henry was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Oxford eased to three points against AFC Wimbledon, scoring three goals in the process – and Henry was instrumental. The winger was the architect behind two of the goals, setting up Ricardinho and Xemi Hernandez as the U’s notched a second straight win.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Henry for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Dave Richards (Crewe Alexandra), Dan Potts (Luton Town), Dan Burn (Wigan Athletic), Richard Wood (Rotherham United), Pierce Sweeney (Exeter City), Ebere Eze (Wycombe Wanderers), Jake Reeves (Bradford City), Sean Murray (Colchester United), Ben Whiteman (Doncaster Rovers), James Henry (Oxford United), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager – Darrell Clarke (Bristol Rovers).
