Oxford-born midfielder Josh McEachran has joined his hometown club following his release from MK Dons.

The 30-year-old was released by the Dons following their relegation to League Two and follows Ruben Rodrigues and Jordan Thorniley through the door.

The former Chelsea youngster spent most of his career in the Championship and turned out 90 times in the second tier for Brentford over four seasons.

He joined MK Dons in 2021 and made 100 appearances, including 60 under current U’s boss Liam Manning.

Speaking to the club’s official website, McEachran said: “Oxford is a city that means a lot to me and my family, and Liam Manning is someone I really enjoyed playing for during his time at MK Dons.
