League One Preview: Oxford United v Bristol Rovers – Team News, Form and Prediction

|

Oxford United will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat at Cambridge when the U’s welcome Bristol Rovers.

Karl Robinson’s side have now picked up just one point from their last seven games and have slipped to within seven points of the bottom four.

As for the Gas, they’re also on a sticky run of form with five defeats and one draw from their last six league games.

Marcus Browne made a return from injury at Cambridge but Tyler Goodrham and Djavan Anderson have joined Billy Bodin and Alex Gorrin in the treatment room.

Bristol Rovers are without Jordan Rossiter and Josh Grant while Paul Coutts and Josh Coborn both returned for the defeat against Burton.

Striker Aaron Collins is on 14 goals and 11 assists for the season, while John Marquis took his tally to seven with his opener against the Brewers.

Oxford are without a win in the last three meetings between the two sides, which includes that dramatic FA Cup doubleheader. The U’s won the previous two meetings, including a 2-0 victory in this fixture.

Predicted line-up: Simon Eastwood, Brandon Fleming, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Sam Long, Cameron Brannagan, Marcus McGuane, Lewis Bate, Yanic Wildschut, Ateef Konate, Kyle Joseph.

Prediction: Oxford United 1-1 Bristol Rovers
