Oxford United will be looking to end their 17-game winless run when Cheltenham visit Grenoble Road on Tuesday night.

The U’s lost 2-0 at Barnsley on Saturday, leaving them outside the bottom four on goal difference ahead of three crucial remaining fixtures.

Cheltenham have pulled themselves clear of the relegation places after losing just once from their last ten games, where they have picked up 17 points.

Gatlin O’Donkor was forced off in the first half against Barnsley but Billy Bodin got more minutes in his recent comeback.

The Robins are without midfield duo Dan Adshead and James Olayinka but former U’s man Liam Sercombe made a return at the weekend.

Alfie May is the danger man for the visitors after his brace against Forest Green took him to 20 goals for the season.

The U’s hadn’t beaten Cheltenham in any of the last nine meetings before a win in the reverse fixture back in August. This fixture ended 1-1 last season, while the visitors had won the previous two at Grenoble Road.

Predicted line-up: Simon Eastwood, Ciaron Brown, Stuart Findlay, Elliott Moore, Sam Long, Marcus McGuane, Cameron Brannagan, Marcus Browne, Josh Murphy, Tyler Smith, Kyle Joseph.

Prediction: Oxford United 1-0 Cheltenham Town
