Oxford United travel to Wycombe on Tuesday as they look for a third league win in a row.

The match comes after an important council meeting regarding the club’s search for a site for a new stadium, which we will bring you here at Vital Oxford.

But on the pitch, the U’s picked up 2-1 wins over Fleetwood and Ipswich, moving them up to tenth in League One.

As for Wycombe, their match at Bristol Rovers was postponed. They have two wins and two defeats from their last four league games and sit in eighth spot, three points above the U’s.

Josh Murphy missed the win over Ipswich but he may return, although Sam Baldock, Marcus Browne, James Henry and Alex Gorrin remain sidelined.

The Chairboys are without Dominic Gape but Alfie Mawson could return for the visit of Oxford.

Oxford-born Garath McCleary has four goals this season while top scorer Anis Mehmeti has eight. Midfielders Lewis Wing and David Wheeler have added nine between them.

Yanic Wildschut opened his U’s account against Ipswich while Cameron Brannagan reached double figures for the campaign with his winning strike.

Oxford are without a win in their last four meetings against Wycombe, which includes a 1-0 loss at home earlier this season. The U’s have also scored just once in those clashes, which came in the League One playoff final defeat in 2020.

Predicted line-up: Simon Eastwood, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Sam Long, Brandon Fleming, Djavan Anderson, Marcus McGuane, Lewis Bate, Cameron Brannagan, Billy Bodin, Matty Taylor.

Prediction: Wycombe Wanderers 0-1 Oxford United
